Question: “Are dogs allowed on the Showground?”
“Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the Showground provided any dog-fouling is immediately dealt with by the owners. The Committee are most strict on this point.”
Question: “Are there refreshment facilities on the showground?”
“There is a 200 foot x 40 foot catering marquee with seating, and in addition there are numerous catering stands on the showground providing a whole range of food and drinks. In addition there is a licensed beer tent on the showground.”
“There are toilet facilities for the disabled on the Showground. The Show is held on grass parkland, but the grass is mown short and we welcome hundreds of disabled visitors to each Show. There is a car park for the disabled immediately behind the main arena on the Showground. Disabled people arriving by coach may disembark their coach at the entrance to the Showground.”
“Regrettably no, for insurance reasons."
Question: “ Is there a charge for parking at the Show?"
“No. All car and coach parking is free of charge.”
“For security reasons, the Cottage and Amateur marquees are not open to the public until after our Royal visitors have viewed them. This is usually about 12 noon. Everything else on the Showground is open to the public from 9am.”
“The Committee provide a large number of chairs on the Showground. There is no fixed seating on the Showground and members of the public do tend to move the seats around the Showground. There is seating around the bandstand and there is also a picnic area with seating.
Many people bring picnic chairs or shooting sticks for their own convenience."
