Show Gardens

The display gardens are always a very popular attraction at Sandringham Flower Show, built as they are to a standard which can rival any of the major horticultural shows.

The Committee welcome applications from garden designers to design and build showgardens on the showground. No theme is set for the gardens and the Committee provide, free of charge, a fenced plot 8 metres x 8 metres for large show gardens and 4 metres x 5 metres for small gardens. Electricity is also provided free of charge. Designers and/or sponsors may be advertised on the showgarden subject to restrictions on size of advertisement. In addition designers may also be given trade stand space in close proximity to the showgarden, to further promote their own business or that of any sponsor.

The gardens are judged on show day by top television gardening presenters Chris Beardshaw and Alan Mason. Certificates are awarded for Gold, Silver Gilt, Silver and Bronze Awards and the "Best in Show” in each category is also presented with the Eastern Daily Press trophy. There is also a certificate for the "Peoples Choice” in each category voted for by the public attending the Show.
